GDI++ is a library that provides improved quality by replacing some of the functions of gDI32.dll, such as TextOut(). When this function is called, it draws the text up to four times larger on a temporary back buffer, and then transfers it to the display after resampling with interpolation. This is similar to the shareware program SmoothType, which was designed for older Mac systems. The screenshot shows an example of M 2P IPAG in 9 points. The result on the right looks less distorted or blurred, so it may be more comfortable to read than the original on the left.
